Summer is passing by with a last stand of hot humid weather.

Throughout the summer, whatever the temperature,  the perennial garden has provided a delight of colourful blooms, scented by a border of lavender.

This purple Edge has been a work in progress for the past few years and I hope to continue cultivating this amazing herb each year. Possibly it will eventually take over the whole front yard; however, in the meantime I will enjoy the lavender as it outlines the rest of the flower garden.
