The writing prompt for The Daily Post’s weekly photo theme is Partners.

Ironically, this theme follows a momentous vote from across the pond, in which a majority of voters expressed the desire to sever the partnership between Brits and EU. The news world is abuzz with discussions of the potential impact on economy and political stability. I hope that the process of realigning everything will go smoothly.

On a lighter note, this seemed like a perfect time to share a photo that I took of two mourning doves in our gigantic silver maple tree that, sadly, has outgrown the backyard.
